From my late teens I have always dreamt of owning my own hairdressing salon and here I am living the dream! I set up BOLTS hair and body in Axminster in 2005. My career in hairdressing has spanned 20 years which started in barbering and then progressed to an intensive training programme with Toni & Guy. I have passed on my knowledge and all I have learnt to my fantastic team, which I feel really lucky to have on board.

I joined BOLTS in 2005 when the salon opened, and have worked on and off for Mandy ever since then. I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing particularly bespoke creative colouring, and I also pride myself on a thorough consultation working towards the client’s hair goals.

I have been qualified for 13 years, I trained in 2005 practised for 2 years before taking time out to try different careers and start a family. I am very excited to have the opportunity to come back to hairdressing and spend my days doing a job I really love. I have a passion for making my clients feel great about themselves.

I have been in the hair industry for 17 years, originally from South Africa where I owned and worked in our salon. I then became an educator for the brand Kevin Murphy and loved teaching stylists in salon, or in large seminars about the brand , hair care, products and all aspects of colour. In the U.K. I carried on working for the same brand and recently had a baby. Now I have decided to return back to the salon, due to my training I have good experience with colour, cutting and styling hair. Looking forward to meeting everyone at Bolts.

I started working for Bolts in 2017, but after taking a couple of years out to have children I’m back on a part-time basis doing something I love. After 10 years in the industry, I’ve learnt that the power of touch is powerful and making someone feel special makes my heart sing, so I look forward to pampering everyone I see!

I joined Bolts in December 2022 as a Saturday girl, and I’m currently working towards my NVQ 2 in hairdressing. I have always loved this industry as I believe having your hair done brings confidence and that brings a smile to my face. Since being at Bolts I’ve met some lovely people, and whilst working alongside the whole team I’m learning new techniques all the time. I’m mainly looking forward to learning all aspects of hairdressing and putting a smile on the clients faces.
